Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Mother of God
Built between 1863 and 1872, this three-part basilica has five domes in the Byzantine style with the baroque bell tower. The contractor-builder was Andrija Damjanov (1813-1878), noted for the so-called Andrija’s crosses, by means of which constructions of complex baroque domes, of which this in one example, was possible.

The construction itself took five years (1863-1868) and it was consecrated in 1872, during the governing of the Bosnian vilajet (region) by Osman Pasha.
