Railway Station Bistrik
After the Austro-Hungarian authorities in 1882, with the railway connected Sarajevo with Slavonski Brod and Budapest, there was a need to connect Sarajevo with the east parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where, along the border with Serbia, were stationed a military garrisons.

So there was created an idea to build so-called “East railway” line, towards Višegrad, where from you could travel further, for Belgrade, Sofia, Thessaloniki and Istanbul. When the railway was put to use, then was opened railway station on Bistrik.
